How to Protect yourself and your family from Alligators

In the state of Florida (especially SWFL ]there are 1.3 million gators. An 85-year-old woman defending her dog from an alligator attack in a St. Lucie County community was killed in February when the beast turned on her. Last year, a 47-year-old man was killed while looking for Frisbees along a lakeshore in Largo and an 80-year-old woman was killed after falling into a pond at a country club south of Sarasota. In 2016, a toddler was killed by an alligator at Walt Disney World. we know that some of you are on vacation and you are just waiting to have a good time but we have to be careful
1. Avoid Provoking Alligators:
Never feed alligators: Feeding them can desensitize them to humans and make them more likely to approach people, which is both dangerous and illegal.
Maintain a safe distance: Keep at least 25-30 feet away from alligators and water's edge.
Don't touch or handle alligators: Avoid any interaction with alligators.
Don't try to take close-up photos: Observe from a safe distance.
Supervise children and pets: Keep children and pets away from water where alligators may be present.
Keep pets on a leash: Especially when walking near water.
Be aware of your surroundings: Pay attention to your environment, especially during dusk and dawn, when alligators are most active.
